Any AI company that is in favor of being regulated is the fox guarding the henhouse. They are really just trying to stop competition.
This is not really about regulation. It is about China controlling us through all this fear mongering. The Left seems hell-bent on ceding control to China. And we have lots of politicians who are right on board with that. It is nauseating that the United States controls eight out of the 10 largest AI companies and we are letting the tail of China wag the dog. A lot of fearful people have not learned a thing in the last six years. They still wear masks and they run around, wringing their hands.

Brilliant. I might have to check some of your data, but the principle of adaptation and response, rather than fear, freezing, and fight/flight, is always the path to take. Excellent. 💯
On the topic of climate change and energy policy, I took a similar take: adapt to changing climate rather than kill energy production (like you said about data centers.)

Agree 100%. I am not fearful. So much hyperbole that comes from media and politicians. Unfortunately, majority of US residents are not clear thinkers.
