Ok, let's see if we can do this with some integrity and transparency. The reason that people line up so early is either 1) by their own prerogative because they have reasons that they want to try and secure an available time slot, if possible, or 2) because of their own failure to sign up for an appointment online when they should have. Otherwise, everything is appointment based scheduling. It is very simple to go to the Texas DPS website, enter one's personal information, driver's license number, date of birth, audit number and answer the very few questions asked and to select an available time slot. Those who you see lining up at 3am are basically in a race to get an appt if space is available. That is on them and in no way a hardship that should be considered an acceptable reason to not require voter ID. This a very simple objective that any 5th grader could do.
Totally agree. Those who oppose proof of citizenship, and voter ID, seek to rig elections to gain unearned power and rule over the “deplorables”, like “elite” totalitarians, not to represent them. These selfish people are focused on their vested interests, not the will of We The People.
I am 83, my husband is 91. Of course this is bull. It is harder to sign into a smart TV but I bet 100% most of the people can do it. We want a voter ID.
